Chemical free cleaning 10L complete kit.
Part of the Toucan Eco range, the Active model is designed for small to medium facilities.
 
It makes 10 litres of eco-friendly antibacterial multi-surface cleaner that kills up to 99.999% of bacteria from just water, salt and an electrochemical reaction. The solution remains active for 5-7 days.

How to use
The system uses salt tablets mixed with water in the brine container to make a supersaturated brine solution. The 10-litre tank is then filled with tap water – either by hand or plumbed in – and 30ml dose of brine water added, which is the correct amount for activation. The unit is switched on and activation takes around 15 minutes.

Active substances
Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) at a concentration of 125 (normal strength) or 250ppm (double strength), and a pH of between 7.5 to 8.5.

What’s in the kit?
The system includes a generator unit, 10 litre tank, 2.5 litre brine container and 30ml brine dosage pump, dispensing tap, stainless steel shelf and wall fixings. We estimate that the user will be able to make around 2,500 litres of solution before needing to add more salt tablets. The system comes with a one-year guarantee.

What it’s used for?
Toucan Eco can be used for a range of applications.
Clean and disinfect any surface, including kitchens, bathrooms, fabrics and glass.
You can use it as a deodoriser as it kills the germs that creates the odour.
Sterilise toys and clothes safely.
Spray fresh fruit and vegetables to remove dirt and pesticides, but remember to rinse in fresh water before eating.
Remove trainer odour by soaking overnight.
Spray pets’ mucky paws and coats.
Water cut flowers to make them last longer.
 
Proven solution
The activated solution is certified to EN 1276, EN 13697, EN 14476 and EN 16777 for  chemical disinfectants against bacteria and viruses. It is also safe for use in food preparation and high-risk areas. In addition, certification under EN13727 (ESBL) and the VAH scheme (medical grade biocides) demonstrate efficacy in risk areas. Toucan Eco is listed under Article 95 of the EU Biocides regulations.
 
The solution it makes is hypochlorous sodium hypochlorite, and is slightly different than the usual Ozone making mahcines. Although they work in a very similar way, the ozone equivalents usually only have a working life of 4-8 hours and need expensive filters as an ongoing cost.

The Toucan Eco needs standard, everyday salt. And water. And about the same amount of electricity as used in a car key fob!
